Job Description

Echelon Services is seeking Direct Support professionals to join our team. Direct Support Staff for Echelon Services cover Visitation Monitoring , Mentoring and Life Skills Cases Visitation Monitors will be responsible for supervising visits and providing a safe, secure environment, physically and emotionally for children in alternate care by supervising visits with their natural parent(s) or custodial parents. The responsibilities of a Parenting Time Monitor will include the following: Monitoring and, if necessary, intervening with the parent or child who demonstrated inappropriate physical or verbal behaviors. To report as soon as possible any problems or concerns regarding a specific client, social worker or visitation request. Transporting children to and from supervised visits using your own personal vehicle as needed The ability to remain unbiased of the population that you are servicing while focusing on clients' strengths. The ability to function independently, with little to no supervision while maintaining ethical professionalism at all times. Schedule is flexible although some clients may only have weekend and/or evening availability. Life Skills Providers will provide services that will be consistent and structured that will address daily living needs that will teach things such as mentoring, household management, vocational skills, living skills, parenting techniques, family conflict management and affectively accessing community resources. The responsibilities of a Parenting Time Monitor will include the following: Assessing the individual needs of the clients that you are servicing. Transporting clients to and from appointments, court appearances, visits, and other like appointments as deemed appropriate by the treatment plan utilizing your own personal vehicle. Assisting families in utilizing resources in the community to assist client in obtaining self -sufficiency. The ability to teach clients effective parenting skills. The ability to remain unbiased of the population that you are servicing while focusing on clients' strengths. Attending Court and Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTM) when requested by Family Case Manager. Completion of progress note and monthly reports in a timely fashion. The ability to function independently, with little to no supervision while maintaining ethical professionalism at all times. Mentors
  • Provide support and guidance to clients with a history of trauma, emotional/behavioral needs, and developmental disabilities
  • Plan and engage clients in activities that promote their interests, well-being and ability to identify, develop and build on the client's skills and strengths
  • Provide transportation during outings
Requirements:
Maintaining a valid driver's license, registration and proof of insurance for your automobile that complies with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage. Ability to pass background checks and sex offender check. Must be CPR/First Aide Certified Novice computer skills are required as this job requires frequent use of computers, internet and cell phones. 24 Hour access to a computer and internet. Completion of reports within 24 hours in a timely fashion. Education HS Diploma plus at least 1 year year of social services experience (i.e. early childhood, teacher's aide, licensed day care worker, etc.)
