Join Beacon Specialized Living - Where Every Shift Makes a Difference Are you an experienced caregiver or behavioral support professional looking for meaningful, hands-on work where you can make a real impact? At Beacon Specialized Living, we support individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and complex behavioral and medical needs—helping them live safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. What You'll Do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) In this home, you will provide hands-on, person-centered support to individuals with autism and complex behavioral needs. This role requires a high level of engagement, awareness, and consistency throughout your shift. Daily Responsibilities Engaging in activities such as music, movement, and interactive play Providing full support with personal care, hygiene, and dressing Assisting with feeding and specialized dietary needs Following structured routines and visual schedules Supporting behavioral plans using calm, consistent approaches Providing transportation and community support Administering medications (training provided) Completing accurate documentation each shift Maintaining a safe, clean, and structured home environment About this
Location:
This home supports two young women with autism and significant developmental, behavioral, and medical needs. Both individuals are nonverbal and require consistent, hands-on support. Staff in this home must be comfortable with: Supporting individuals with autism and high behavioral needs Nonverbal communication (including use of iPads and visual supports) Structured routines and consistent staffing approaches Managing behaviors such as hitting, pinching, or self-injury High levels of interaction, engagement, and redirection throughout the shift Consistency, patience, and emotional regulation are critical to success in this environment. Paid Time Off:
88 Hours per year, eligible after 90 days of employment.
