Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and caring Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance and companionship to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, dementia, autism, and other health conditions. Your dedication will help promote independence, enhance quality of life, and foster a safe, supportive environment for those we serve. Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Administer medications and follow care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences Support individuals during community outings or social activities to promote engagement and independence Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning common areas and personal spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with agency policies and state regulations Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia or in assisted living environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and patient observation Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members Experience in home health, hospice care or long-term care settings is highly desirable Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and adaptability to meet individual needs Join us to make a meaningful difference in people's lives! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
