The Real Talk:

Schedule Requirements Let's be crystal clear upfront: Afternoons, evenings, and nights - No first shift positions available. Every weekend availability is required - Not every other weekend. Every single one.

What You'll Actually Do:

This is hands-on, meaningful work: Provide personalized care, including personal hygiene assistance, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support. Develop and implement individualized support plans alongside a multidisciplinary team Teach essential life skills—communication, socialization, money management, and household tasks Transport individuals to community activities and appointments (reliable vehicle required) Maintain detailed documentation and incident reporting Advocate fiercely for the rights and safety of those you support

Must-Haves:

High school diploma or equivalent to become med admin. certified Reliable vehicle for transportation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills for documentation Willingness to pass background checks and clearances Ability to earn and maintain CPR/First Aid certification Previous experience with developmental disabilities preferred (but exceptional candidates with transferable skills encouraged to apply)
