Direct Support Professional

DSP's needed at 2 locations in Staples, Evenings and Overnights needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling resident information
• Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs and preferences
• Provide transportation for residents to appointments or community outings

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals as needed
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities Must have a valid MN driver's license, clean driving record and clear DHS background check.
