Direct Support Professional

Star of Hope is looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our Curry County team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). No experience? No problem — we provide paid training and ongoing support. As a DSP, you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community while helping them live meaningful, independent lives. Duties Support individuals with daily living skills and personal goals Assist with cooking, cleaning, shopping, appointments, and community activities Build positive relationships and encourage independence Administer medications and complete documentation/tracking logs Provide companionship, encouragement, and a safe environment Help individuals participate in activities they enjoy and stay connected to their community

What We're Looking For:

Reliable and compassionate individuals Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills Must pass a background check Valid driver's license preferred (or required depending on position/program) No healthcare experience is required. Many of our best DSPs came from customer service, retail, hospitality, parenting, construction, food service, or other people-focused backgrounds.
