Summary As a Direct Support Professional at Golden Heart Caregivers, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate care, assistance with daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those we serve. Responsibilities Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Assist clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as needed. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in caregiving preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients on a personal level. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients as necessary.
