Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Bloomsburg, PA. In this role, you will work one on one with and play a vital part in empowering the individual with disabilities by providing personalized care and support while learning vocational skills, ensuring they can thrive in their daily lives. Responsibilities Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities. Provide emotional support to an individual by following all plans as written. Monitor and document individual progress and well-being. Provide positive feedback and praise to build self-development and self-esteem. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and goals. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages independence. Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive care. Engage client in social and volunteer activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with Autism or IDD highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
