ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director Business Process Improvement is responsible for directing and managing major business improvement initiatives (e.g. Fast Forward). The Director will be responsible for all aspects of assigned initiatives and projects including (but not limited to) the day-to-day management of assigned team members; facilitating the development of business and IT process requirements; overseeing the various design and development phases of the project; developing the communication, training, and implementation strategies; and reporting project status to steering committees.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead and direct business improvement teams to deliver approved scope to business. Serve as the primary interface between steering committees, process owners, and functional team leads during design, development and testing. Work closely with process owners and functional groups to define overall strategy, vision, and year-over-year operation plans to drive business change and benefits. Assist in the development of the associated technology "roadmap." Must develop and maintain excellent cross-functional relationship and have the ability to balance individual group priorities with overall priorities of Arium Networks. Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. Help to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals and assist in the development of cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses for proposed changes. Develop metrics and associated reporting to manage performance. Assist Area and Southpointe practitioners in developing performance goals. Document and maintain process descriptions and flows. In the future, maintain processes and business rules and AquaLogic Business Process Management Software (ALBPMS). Support internal audit efforts (i.e. SOX internal and external testing, audit reviews, etc…) Identify and communicate with key industry contacts and community leaders. Identify new partnering strategies to build positive public environment. Advises SVP Corp. Development & Strategy on development of company policy and on lobbying strategy based on intelligence gathered form government and industry stake holders. Prepare periodic reports for the CEO and Executive Management Team on pending governmental issues related to Arium Networks's business interests.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education / Certifications Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field Skills and Experience Seven (7) years of experience in the analysis and development/improvement of business processes and implementation of performance metrics Previous experience in leading and facilitating teams in the development and implementation of business processes and resulting systems Possess a command of established process development and improvement and agile systems development methodologies Foundational understanding of the telecommunications industry as well as experience developed within other industries is necessary A combination of consulting experience and experience working as a full time employee is preferred Other Skills/Abilities Ability to manage large process improvement and automation programs and individual projects Ability to apply standard business process analysis and management methods (e.g. TQM, Six Sigma, etc…) to identify and address improvement opportunities Understanding of metrics and their use to drive behavior and process change Knowledge of popular methods/approaches (e.g. Balanced Scorecard) Ability to apply basic statistics to the analysis of business processes and associated metrics Knowledge of the Information Systems development process (e.g. Requirements Definition, User Testing, etc…) Ability to elicit system requirements from diverse user groups with varied knowledge and experience with IT development. Ability to convert business process and individual user "needs" into comprehensive and complete IT requirements Ability to build and maintain relationships across cross-functional teams Excellent communication, facilitation, and administrative/organizational skills Where you will work This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Friday and Monday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed. Compensation The pay range offered for this position is $173,100 to $238,000 per year. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location.
