We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Distribution Center Operations to lead our end-to-end distribution center operations, driving operational excellence across inbound, outbound, inventory, and fulfillment functions. This leader will be responsible for optimizing service, cost, productivity, and safety while building scalable processes and high-performing teams to support GNC's continued growth across retail, eCommerce, and wholesale channels. The ideal candidate brings deep distribution leadership experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and a proven ability to lead complex, high-volume operations in a fast-paced environment.
This is an onsite leadership role based at our distribution center in Whitestown, Indiana, requiring a hands-on presence to lead teams, drive execution, and support day-to-day operational excellence.
Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hearAbility to work in a fast paced warehouse and distribution environment with frequent exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and material handling equipmentRequires flexibility to support multiple shifts, peak business periods, and occasional weekends or extended hours based on operational needsRegular walking throughout the facility, standing for extended periods, and occasional climbing of stairs or navigating warehouse equipment areasAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and move throughout a large scale distribution center environmentFrequent interaction with warehouse systems, operational reporting tools, and cross functional teams to support business performance and service levelsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.•To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. What You'll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary PositionLead day to day distribution center operations across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns in a high volume multi channel environmentDevelop and execute operational strategies that improve service, productivity, quality, and cost performance while supporting business growth objectivesEstablish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including order accuracy, on time shipping, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, and safety performanceBuild, lead, and develop a high performing operations team through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and talent developmentCreate and manage annual operating budgets, labor plans, and financial forecasts to ensure cost effective operations and budget adherenceDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies and operational excellence principles to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize workflowsPartner cross functionally with Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to maintain strong service levels across all channelsEnsure inventory control processes and operational standards are in place to minimize loss, damage, and shrinkOversee warehouse systems, automation processes, and operational technologies to maximize efficiency and scalabilityEnsure compliance with all safety programs, OSHA regulations, company policies, and operational controls including SOX and inventory governanceLead operational change initiatives and process transformation efforts to support evolving business needs and customer expectationsMaintain high service standards for both internal and external customers while ensuring timely, accurate, and damage free product deliveryAdditional duties as assigned.Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or related field required; Master's degree preferred10+ years of progressive distribution, logistics, or warehouse leadership experience in a high volume, multi channel environmentProven experience leading large scale distribution center operations with responsibility for labor, service, productivity, and financial performanceExperience in automated or wave based distribution environments strongly preferredStrong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and supply chain technologies; experience with Manhattan or Blue Yonder preferredDemonstrated success driving continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and operational transformationStrong financial acumen including budgeting, labor planning, cost analysis, and forecastingProven ability to build and lead high performing teams in a fast paced environmentStrong analytical, problem solving, and decision making capabilitiesExcellent communication, leadership, and cross functional collaboration skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and operational reporting toolsMulti channel fulfillment including retail, direct to consumer, and wholesale distribution (preferred)Experience supporting eCommerce fulfillment operations and peak season volume management (preferred)Exposure to automation, conveyor systems, labor management systems, and warehouse optimization tools(preferred)Similar remote jobs
