Within the Revenue Cycle—often called Financial Services, patient financial services, and revenue management—the Director Hospital Revenue Cycle will guide a high-performing team at a premier rural healthcare provider in Southern Colorado with over 90 years of service, leveraging state-of-the-art technology to support a patient-centered "medical home" model; as a regional hub with two hospitals and multiple clinics, this healthcare organization thrives on a strong community-focused mission and sustains a high-quality, compassionate work environment that empowers the Healthcare Revenue Cycle Director to align finance, access, and care operations seamlessly.
Reporting to a senior finance executive such as the CFO or VP of Finance, the Healthcare Revenue Cycle Director will oversee patient access, registration, health information management, coding, charge capture, revenue integrity, denials and appeals, payer contracting, and patient financial services, with robust support from data analytics, compliance, case management, IT/EHR teams, and friendly nurses who collaborate closely with a diverse, interdisciplinary group of physicians, APPs, pharmacy, PT/OT, and social work; responsibilities for the Director Hospital Revenue Cycle include setting strategy, optimizing KPIs, advancing automation, improving payer yield, leading CDI initiatives, strengthening prior authorization workflows, and driving continuous improvement through transparent dashboards and frontline feedback loops.
