The Director Inpatient Acute Care Pharmacy will guide a hospital pharmacy service line at a premier healthcare system serving the surrounding region for nearly 100 years, anchored by a 600+ bed capacity, a Level III Trauma Facility, a dedicated Women's & Children's hospital, and an extensive network of over 400 providers, with the acute care pharmacy team supported by 75+ FTEs; this hospital pharmacy and inpatient medication management service integrates seamlessly with nursing, critical care, perioperative services, cardiology, oncology, and maternal-child health to optimize therapeutic outcomes across the continuum of care.

The Director Pharmacy Services will report to a senior executive leader such as the Chief Pharmacy Officer or a Vice President of Patient Care Services, leading managers, supervisors, clinical specialists, and decentralized pharmacists while partnering closely with friendly nurses and a diverse, collaborative team of physicians, APPs, case management, and quality leaders; responsibilities for the Director Inpatient Acute Care Pharmacy include strategic and operational oversight of sterile compounding (USP <797>/<800>), automation and analytics (carousel, IV workflow, BCMA optimization), formulary management and
P&T, 340B
integrity, antimicrobial stewardship, regulatory readiness (TJC, CMS, state board), medication safety, budgeting, talent development, residency and student programs, and frontline-driven performance improvement that enhances throughput, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.
