JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Admissions & Recruitment provides strategic leadership for undergraduate and college readiness admissions and recruitment at Beacon College. The role oversees admissions operations, regional recruitment strategies, and admissions staff while ensuring a seamless, student-centered enrollment experience. The Director leads institutional recruitment initiatives, collaborates with cross-campus partners on data-informed enrollment strategies, and builds relationships with external partners to support awareness and growth. This position represents Beacon College externally and advances the institution's mission to serve students with learning differences and ADHD.
DUTIES AND TASKS
Admissions Operations & Team Leadership Provide strategic leadership for admissions and recruitment efforts in alignment with institutional enrollment goals. Manage the day-to-day operations of the admissions office, ensuring timely, accurate, and student-centered admissions processes. Supervise Admissions & Recruitment Mentors and enrollment administrative staff, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development. Establish operational goals, workflows, and service standards for admissions and recruitment functions. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable federal and state regulations related to admissions and student records. Oversee admissions communications, application processing, decision workflows, and enrollment tracking through CRM and SIS systems. Monitor admissions operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, responsiveness, and data integrity. Develop and maintain admissions policies, procedures, and documentation. Recruitment Strategy & Relationship Management Lead the development and execution of strategic recruitment initiatives designed to support application, enrollment, and retention goals. Chair the Recruitment Committee and coordinate recruitment initiatives across departments and institutional stakeholders. Guide and support Admissions & Recruitment Mentors in the development and execution of territory management and outreach strategies. Monitor recruitment performance, application trends, conversion metrics, and enrollment outcomes to inform strategy and decision-making. Collaborate with Marketing to align recruitment communications, campaigns, digital outreach, and event strategies. Support the planning and execution of recruitment events, including open houses, virtual events, counselor programs, and yield initiatives. Develop and maintain relationships with school counselors, educational consultants, transition professionals, community organizations, and other referral partners. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and enrollment growth. Represent Beacon College at recruitment events, conferences, and professional organizations as needed. Application Review & Evaluation Lead and support the holistic review and evaluation of applicant files for undergraduate and summer programs. Lead the operations of the Admissions Committee, ensuring consistency, fairness, and mission alignment in admissions decisions. Support prospective students and families throughout the admissions process with professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness. Address escalated concerns and complex admissions situations as needed. Foster a welcoming and inclusive admissions experience for students with learning differences, ADHD, and other neurodiverse profiles. Data Management & Reporting Monitor and analyze enrollment funnel performance, recruitment activity, and admissions metrics. Prepare reports and enrollment projections for senior leadership. Use data-informed insights to support strategic planning, territory management, and operational improvements. Ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of admissions-related records and systems. Collaboration & Institutional Engagement Collaborate with Financial Aid, Marketing, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other campus partners to support enrollment goals and student success initiatives. Participate in institutional committees and strategic enrollment initiatives. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, higher education, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience working with students with learning differences or ADHD preferred. Experience with CRM systems, admissions systems, and enrollment reporting tools preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities. Ability to analyze enrollment data and use insights to guide decision-making. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and related technology platforms.

Ability to travel occasionally and work evenings or weekends as needed for recruitment events and admissions activities. Ability to maintain a professional, patient, and solutions-oriented approach when working with students and families.
