Director of Clinical Respiratory Services

Director of Clinical Respiratory Services - Vent Unit Douglasville Nursing & Rehab is seeking a highly experienced clinical leader to oversee and elevate our Ventilator/Respiratory Unit . This role requires a decisive, hands-on leader with deep clinical expertise and proven experience managing high-acuity patients.

Position Overview:

The Director of Clinical Respiratory Services will be responsible for the clinical oversight, performance, and outcomes of the Vent Unit. This individual will work closely with facility leadership, respiratory therapy, nursing, and medical providers to ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Active RN license in the State of Georgia (required) Nurse Practitioner (NP) or prior Director of Nursing (DON) experience strongly preferred Strong background in ventilator management and respiratory care Proven leadership experience in sub-acute, LTACH, or skilled nursing settings Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity units and interdisciplinary teams Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality measures, and clinical outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical leadership and direction for the Vent/Respiratory Unit Oversee patient care quality, safety, and clinical protocols Collaborate with respiratory therapy, nursing leadership, and physicians Ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness Drive performance improvement, staff accountability, and clinical excellence This is a senior-level clinical leadership role for a strong operator who can take ownership of a complex unit and drive results.
