Our Aston Park community in Asheville, NC is looking for a Dementia Care Director to join our team. This is a great opportunity to join a senior living community through Lutheran Services Carolinas and be a part of a great team serving the residents of our community.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday (rotating weekends required)
Compensation:
Pay based on experience Position Overview Aston Park is seeking a dedicated Dementia Care Director to oversee all aspects of our Dementia Care Program. This vital role ensures the highest quality of care for our residents and their families, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the dementia care program, including activities and compliance with all state regulations. Oversee dementia care education for staff. Serve as a key resource for residents and their families. Stay current with best practices in dementia-specific care. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education /
Experience:
Degree in mental health or social services field with at least 3 years in a senior living setting; dementia care expertise required
Skills:
Strong knowledge of dementia care, flexibility, effective communication (written and verbal), sound judgment, and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and relate well to residents is essential.
Physical Requirements:
