Job Description
Director of Development, Marketing & Community Engagement Full-Time, Exempt NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance) is a comprehensive victim services organization in Bucks County. With a 50+ year history, NOVA has expanded to include a continuum of prevention and direct services to prevent and address the needs of victims of sexual abuse and other serious crimes. NOVA is known for its exceptional services and professionalism across many disciplines and the community. As a mature and fiscally sound organization, establishing sustainability is key to our future success, serving all victims who need assistance, educating the community on violence prevention, and providing top-ranked professional training.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Development, Marketing & Community Engagement is responsible for leading NOVA's fundraising, marketing, and community engagement strategies to support the growth, visibility, and sustainability of the organization. Under the direction of the Executive Director and in collaboration with the Development Committee of the Board of Directors, the Director of Development, Marketing & Community Engagement is responsible for carrying out the organization's major initiatives with a primary focus on the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, foundation, corporate prospects, and donors, while strengthening NOVA's brand presence, community partnerships, and public awareness. The Director of Development, Marketing & Community Engagement will ensure NOVA's current donors are properly engaged and that prospective donors are advanced through the prospect pipeline.RESPONSIBILITIES
Development Oversee the Development Department, including strategy development, planning, and implementation to strengthen fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and organizational sustainability Design and execute a comprehensive fundraising program encompassing major gifts, events, planned giving, private grants, and sponsorships. This includes developing a working long-term fundraising plan and annual department work plans. Evaluate the ROI of fundraising initiatives. Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, ensuring strong relationships and increased giving. Grow individual and private foundation revenue to represent 15 to 20 percent of NOVA's annual operating budget within the next 3 years. Identify and pursue private grant opportunities, writing and supporting staff in completing compelling proposals. Represent NOVA in the community and with prospective and current donors, collaborating with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and members of the staff leadership team. Plan and implement donor cultivation and recognition programs to build long-term loyalty and engagement. Develop and implement Board-supported initiatives, including annual campaigns and planned giving programs. Attend all NOVA fundraising and agency-wide events that include the community. Marketing and Community Engagement Oversee the Marketing and Community Engagement Department, including strategy development, planning, and implementation to increase NOVA's visibility, strengthen brand awareness, and deepen community relationships. Guide the creation and implementation of integrated communications plans to support fundraising campaigns, events, programs, and organizational priorities. Oversee public-facing messaging and marketing materials to ensure consistency in voice, brand, and mission. Support strategies that expand NOVA's reach across Bucks County through community engagement, partnerships, presentations, and outreach opportunities. Staff and Volunteer Development Work with the Executive Director to ensure a successful team approach to NOVA's fundraising. Hire, supervise, and mentor Development, Marketing, and Community Engagement staff, fostering professional growth and team effectiveness. Encourage teamwork, staff input, and innovation. Train and support volunteer fundraisers, including Board members. Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to cultivate volunteers for fundraising and other volunteer opportunities. Organizational Leadership Staff liaison to the Development Committee of the Board of Directors to strategize the fundraising program and support Board member participation in fundraising. Direct marketing and community engagement efforts enhance NOVA's visibility and build relationships with current and prospective funders. Contribute to organizational policy development and periodic reviews. Develop and write annual department workplans. Promote and embrace NOVA's team-oriented culture to support organizational success.STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Complete the Sexual Assault Counselor Training (SAC), annual training requirements, and continuing education requirements as applicable. Participates in job-related professional development activities Annual attendance of NOVA's Staff Retreat (1 day) Meets regularly with the Executive Director for support, direction, supervision, and feedback. Meets regularly with assigned staff; provides feedback and completes the required evaluations and work plans.COMPETENCIES

Essential Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising Proven ability to lead outreach, communications, and engagement initiatives that expand organizational presence, foster meaningful community connections, and support fundraising and mission-driven goals. Demonstrated experience with supervising staff and program management. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including donors, staff, volunteers, Board members, and community partners. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (writing samples may be requested). Comfort and experience with public speaking and representing the organization in the community. Ability to analyze and use data for strategic decision-making. NOVA may require employees to participate in drug testing Proficient with Office 365 Preferred Familiarity with Bucks County's philanthropic community and dynamics. Proficient in Raiser's Edge or similar donor database systems. Experience in victim services or related fields Background in health, human services, or community-based nonprofit organizations.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Must meet all required background checks (criminal, FBI, child abuse) at hire and every five years after that Must provide proof of a valid driver's license Must provide proof of valid car insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $100,000/$300,000 upon hire and annually NOVA is an AA/EOE. The compensation package includes the following components: Competitive Annual Salary, $85,000.00-$90,000 commensurate with experience. Medical & Dental (1st day of the month following hire; Employee premiums paid in full by NOVA) Short-term & long-term disability (After 90 days of employment; Premiums paid in full by NOVA) Life insurance policy (After 90 days of employment; Premium paid in full by NOVA) Quarterly contribution to Profit Sharing Pension Plan (1st quarter following one year of employment.
