Job Description

Our client, a growing name in the fashion space is seeking a Director of Digital and Social Strategy. This is a freelance position for 3 months (40 hours a week) with potential to extend for the right person. Hybrid onsite but remote flexible for the right candidate. You will be responsible for assessing the current marketing landscape and identify opportunities for growth across social, CRM, ecommerce, and integrated digital marketing channels. This individual will bring a strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies, while providing actionable recommendations to optimize brand performance and overall digital effectiveness. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with experience evaluating digital ecosystems, identifying gaps, and building integrated marketing recommendations that drive measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities Evaluate the current digital marketing landscape, identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities for optimization across social media, CRM, ecommerce, and broader marketing initiatives. Assess customer journey touchpoints and recommend strategies to improve engagement, retention, and conversion. Develop recommendations for integrated digital marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment across social, email/CRM, ecommerce, paid media, and brand storytelling. Analyze existing social media presence and content strategy, identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement, audience growth, and brand positioning. Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved digital performance and marketing effectiveness. Provide strategic recommendations around ecommerce optimization, customer communication, and lifecycle marketing opportunities. Present findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, social strategy, CRM, ecommerce, or integrated marketing. Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, retention marketing, and omnichannel brand strategy. Experience evaluating and optimizing CRM and ecommerce performance. Proven ability to assess marketing ecosystems and provide clear, strategic recommendations. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
