Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Emergency Services partners closely with the ED Medical Director and leads a supportive structure that includes nurse managers, charge RNs, clinical educators, triage leaders, and coordinators, with robust partnership from pharmacy, respiratory therapy, lab, radiology, case management, social work, and security; responsibilities for the Director of Emergency Services span strategic planning, staffing and scheduling, budget stewardship, quality and patient safety, EMS and transfer relations, regulatory readiness, EMTALA compliance, disaster preparedness, patient flow optimization, and shared-governance engagement, empowered by friendly nurses and a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
