JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Finance works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to ensure the preparation and analysis of corporate financial information, the preparation of financial reports, and ensure effective internal controls are in place to comply with federal, state, and local regulatory laws.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE A
bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of accounting experience is required. CPA is preferred. Experience in healthcare or other service industry with multiple locations preferred. Experience in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, or any other relevant accounting software, preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the production of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports per Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), government regulations, and applicable laws. Provide financial insights and ad hoc support to senior management, regional management, and other corporate departments. Oversee and manage accounting period closing process. Calculate and prepare journal entries. Working knowledge of internal controls. Maintain schedule of fixed assets. Work in collaboration with outside auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. Maintain 401(k), deposit deferrals and compliance reporting. Issue, retire, and maintain corporate stock certificates. Participate in federally mandated cost reporting activities. Manage accounting team. Demonstrate behavior that is consistent with Optimae LifeServices' Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Perform other related duties as assigned.
