Job Description

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Director of Finance and Administration New Jersey Conservation Foundation New Jersey Conservation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a full-time director of finance and administration. As an established statewide nonprofit organization, we have an annual operating budget exceeding $6 million, assets over $65 million, and a staff of 36 employees. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the director will provide strategic financial guidance and operational oversight to support our mission. Reporting to the executive director and working closely with the board of trustees, this role is responsible for overseeing the finance and administration department, including the preparation and maintenance of all financial records, budgets, financial statements, and investment programs. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Knowledge of financial statement preparation and accounting standards. Experience with computerized accounting systems and spreadsheet programs. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to work well as a team player. Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Bachelor's degree and 7 to 10 years of expertise in nonprofit accounting and management/supervisory experience. CPA certification and experience with real estate transactions are desirable. Five days in office to start with possibility of transitioning to three days in office and two days remote.
