Open only to applicants currently employed by East Carolina University. The Director of Graduate Programs serves as a faculty liaison and strategic advisor to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Educator Preparation, providing specialized support for graduate program initiatives within the College of Education. This position assists with graduate program coordination, graduate program supports, and quality improvement efforts. The Director works collaboratively with department chairs, program faculty, the Graduate School, College Leadership, and university partners to support the Associate Dean and graduate programs. Graduate Program Support Offer faculty perspective and recommendations to the Associate Dean on graduate program policies, procedures, needs, and supports Identify and contribute to implementing centralized supports such as advising and recruitment to enhance the growth, impact, and effectiveness of graduate programs Coordinate graduate assistantships and tuition support to align with Graduate School policies, strengthen COE program priorities and faculty productivity, and enhance student access and success Serve as faculty liaison for graduate program matters, facilitating communication between faculty and College administration Coordinate with the Associate Dean in the liaison role with the Graduate School Perform other duties as assigned that advance graduate programs and College initiatives Graduate Program Quality and Innovation Support and facilitate graduate curriculum innovation, including the development and expansion of graduate programs, in alignment with the College and University mission, strategic plan, emerging trends, and workforce demands Support international graduate programs, off-model programs such as Global Teaching Partners, and other graduate program partnerships Assist with the coordination and facilitation of graduate program coordinator meetings to ensure collaboration and consistency across programs Contribute to graduate program accreditation and assessment initiatives including program feedback and employer and completer satisfaction The selected candidate will retain their faculty status and receive an administrative stipend. Contingent upon availability of funding. Minimum Education/Experience Current tenured graduate faculty member within the College of Education Previous experience serving as a graduate program coordinator or similar role Knowledge of graduate program administration, curriculum development, and assessment Demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Experience with graduate program review and evaluation processes Knowledge of educator preparation advanced standards and advanced licensure requirements Experience with international programs, off-model programs, and/or partnerships License or Certification Required by the Department Special Instructions to Applicant East Carolina University requires applicants to submit a candidate profile online in order to be considered for the position.
