Logistics Manager ???? Florham Park, NJ (U.S. Headquarters) A confidential client of Peskind Executive Search is seeking a highly driven Logistics Manager to lead and optimize transportation, distribution, and international import operations across a growing multi-site U.S. manufacturing and distribution network. This individual will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the efficient movement of temperature-sensitive products while driving operational excellence, cost savings, and service performance. This is a high-impact opportunity with visibility across executive leadership, plant operations, and international stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

Transportation & Distribution Management Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations across multiple U.S. manufacturing and distribution facilities. Manage transportation of refrigerated and frozen products while maintaining cold-chain integrity and regulatory compliance. Optimize routing, freight consolidation, and load planning to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs. Address service disruptions, delivery delays, and operational challenges proactively. Review and audit freight invoices while resolving discrepancies. International Logistics & Import Operations Manage end-to-end coordination of international container shipments into the United States. Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth import operations. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, CBP, and other import regulations. Monitor port delays, demurrage/detention exposure, customs clearance timelines, and inland transportation performance. Support seamless integration of imported goods into domestic inventory and distribution networks. Carrier & 3PL Management Build and manage relationships with domestic carriers, brokers, and third-party logistics providers. Negotiate freight rates and service agreements aligned with operational goals. Develop and monitor KPIs and SLAs to drive accountability and service improvements. Resolve recurring transportation and service performance issues. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Plant Leadership teams. Align logistics execution with production schedules and customer demand forecasts. Support customer delivery expectations and issue resolution efforts. Serve as a key liaison between operational leadership and executive stakeholders. Cost Management & Continuous Improvement Own freight spend across domestic and international operations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies. Analyze logistics data and reporting metrics to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. Support process optimization and systems enhancements related to ERP, TMS, and WMS platforms. Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, FDA, CBP, and transportation regulations. Maintain food safety and cold-chain standards across all logistics operations. Promote a strong operational safety culture throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. 5-8+ years of logistics or transportation management experience. Strong experience within food manufacturing, refrigerated/frozen distribution, or temperature-controlled supply chains preferred. Hands-on experience managing international shipping, imports, and container logistics required. Experience overseeing multi-site logistics operations. Strong knowledge of customs compliance, Incoterms, freight management, and transportation operations. Experience with ERP, TMS, WMS, and reporting/analytics tools.
