MISH is a privately owned surgical hospital with a 9-bed facility and 3 operating rooms, focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered care with low patient-to-nurse ratios. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and leadership of the nursing department, ensuring exceptional patient care, staff support, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This role works closely with hospital leadership and clinical departments to maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily nursing operations and support nursing staff Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and CMS safety regulations Maintain high standards of patient care and patient safety Collaborate with other departments to improve operational workflows and outcomes Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new employees Monitor staffing levels and help maintain appropriate nurse coverage Promote a positive and professional culture within the nursing team Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner license Leadership or management experience preferred Strong understanding of CMS, JCAHO, and healthcare compliance standards Excellent communication and organizational skills Passion for patient-centered care and team leadership This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, physician-led hospital environment where quality care and teamwork are highly valued.
