We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Temporary / Acting Director of Nursing to provide strong clinical leadership and operational oversight during a 2-month contract assignment . This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate nursing leader to make an immediate impact by guiding our nursing team, supporting quality patient care, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinical operations. The successful candidate will bring strategic insight, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within our healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of the nursing department and clinical operations. Ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Support and mentor nursing staff to promote professional growth, engagement, and performance excellence. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality assurance protocols. Oversee staffing coordination, operational workflows, and resource allocation. Assist with budget management and operational planning to ensure departmental efficiency. Collaborate with leadership teams and external partners to support organizational goals and patient outcomes. Facilitate staff education, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care. Support ongoing teaching, education, and research initiatives where applicable. About You You are a confident and adaptable nursing leader with the ability to step into a fast-paced environment and provide immediate operational and clinical support. Essential Qualifications & Experience Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN). Extensive experience in nursing leadership or healthcare management roles. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage clinical operations effectively. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, staff leadership, and operational management. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to inspire teams, drive positive change, and maintain high standards of patient care. Desirable Experience within education administration, teaching, or university-affiliated healthcare settings. Background supporting training, research, or academic collaborations.
