Director of Nursing Care Center FT Grand River Health | Rifle, CO At Grand River, we are more than a hospital

What You'll Do In this leadership role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of nursing services within the Care Center to ensure the highest quality of resident care. You'll supervise and support nursing staff through scheduling, training, performance management, and daily operational guidance while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities also include developing policies and procedures, managing departmental budgets, coordinating care across departments, and maintaining strong communication with residents, families, staff, and leadership. You'll play a key role in promoting compliance, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring excellent resident-centered care throughout the organization. Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for Care Center nursing services. Monitor resident care practices and ensure appropriate clinical support is provided to residents and staff. Address employee, resident, and family concerns using sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion. Facilitate staff meetings, service huddles, and communication regarding policy or procedural updates. Partner with Human Resources and leadership on employee relations, coaching, and disciplinary processes when needed. Represent the Care Center at community events, meetings, and organizational committees as assigned. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned Who We're Looking For We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nursing leader with a strong clinical background and the ability to guide teams in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong critical thinking, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and effective in both routine and emergent situations while upholding patient rights and regulatory standards. Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado required. Graduation from an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required, with ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC required within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and clinical care planning and implementation. Minimum of two years of management experience preferred, ideally in a Med-Surg hospital setting. Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in a medical-surgical setting, with ICU experience preferred. Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of care. What We Offer Our total rewards package includes

00 annually(based on experience)
