Job Description
Reporting to the VP of Operations and Supply Chain, the Director of Operations is a critical member of the AltimateMedical leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the operational strategy that enables the organization to scale, perform, and deliver on its mission. This role provides end-to-end leadership across assembly, manufacturing, production, logistics, and supply chain execution ensuring operations are efficient, disciplined, and aligned to customer needs. This leader connects strategy to execution translating business goals into operational capabilities by aligning people, processes, and systems. With a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost, the Director builds a scalable operational infrastructure that supports both current performance and future growth. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners, this role influences key decisions around planning, investment, and operational priorities while maintaining strong visibility into execution. Success in this position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on leadership and execution, with a continuous focus on improving performance, strengthening teams, and enhancing the customer experience. At its core, this role is about building systems, teams, and an operation capable of sustaining long-term growth and impact.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
Operational Strategy & Execution Lead end-to-end operations across manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, and inventory Translate business strategy into scalable, efficient operational plans Drive performance with a focus on lean, quality, safety, delivery and financial outcomes Continuous Improvement & Scalability Champion continuous improvement, operational discipline, and data-driven decision making Optimize workflows, capacity, and facility design to improve efficiency and throughput Ensure operational readiness to support growth, new products, and expansion Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with all functions to deliver operational alignment (HR, IT, Sales, Product Development, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and Customer Experience) Align operations to support the customer experience and business priorities Support new product introduction and enhance overall customer delivery experience People & Culture Leadership Build, develop, and lead high-performing operations teams Foster a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration and continuous learning Strengthen leadership capability and talent bench strength Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to ISO, FDA, OSHA, and company standards Champion safety, quality systems, and operational excellence Lead efforts that promote a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment Financial & Systems Leadership Drive cost management, operational efficiency, and financial performance Leverage technology, ERP/MRP systems, and automation to improve visibility and execution Use data and metrics to guide decisions and improve outcomes Education & Experience 7+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership experience required. Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field highly preferred. Experience leading multi-functional operational teams in a manufacturing or operational environment. Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain or Operational Excellence experience preferred. Skilled at using and implementing ERP/MRP systems and operational performance metrics. Demonstrated success leading operational improvements and organizational change initiatives. Physical Requirements Performs work in both office and manufacturing/warehouse environments using computers, phones, and general office equipment. Position may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and occasional lifting. Requires ability to communicate effectively and work safely in operational environments. Occasional travel as needed. We offer a competitive base salary in the $145,000.00 to $160,000.00 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
