SUMMARY:
Commitment to sobriety and a healthy way of life (must have completed a minimum of 1 year sobriety upon hire) and provide resources to others by encouraging recovery and resilience.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Form and maintain a Recovery Community Organization, working towards certification by the Minnesota Alliance of Recovery Community Organizations (MARCO). Facilitate peer support groups and individual sessions to encourage recovery and resilience. Assist relatives in navigating available resources, including treatment options and community services. Provide culturally specific support to relatives in need. Maintain evening, weekend, and on-call hours to best serve relatives in the community. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized recovery plans. Conduct outreach to engage and educate the community about available behavioral health services. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress. Identify incarcerated relatives, as well as relatives planning reentry to the community, in need of recovery services and provide support Regular attendance necessary. Regular punctuality necessary. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at any time during employment. Other duties as assignedSKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES
Lived experience with substance use challenges and successful recovery Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with relatives. Ability to work independently and as part of a greater team Willingness to work evenings and weekends to better support relatives in need Knowledge of local resources and services relevant to behavioral health. Knowledge of Dakota beliefs and traditions and ability to implement Dakota teachings into recovery work Certification in Peer Recovery or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment Ability to pass background and driver's license check Able to pass a drug urinalysis test Maintain confidentiality Time Management skillsDISCLAIMER
