Job Description

We are searching for a highly experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize multi-site manufacturing operations for a growing precision manufacturing organization within the aerospace and defense sector. This leadership role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, production efficiency, lean manufacturing initiatives, quality standards, workforce development, and strategic growth initiatives across complex manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing and operational activities across multiple facilities Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence initiatives Improve productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery performance, and cost controls Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and operational scaling Develop and mentor production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, aerospace, and safety standards Optimize KPIs related to throughput, OEE, scrap reduction, labor utilization, and on-time delivery Support capital equipment planning, automation, and operational investments Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and innovation Qualifications 10+ years of operational leadership experience within aerospace, defense, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing Proven success leading high-volume, complex manufacturing operations Strong background in CNC machining, assembly, precision manufacturing, or aerospace components preferred Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field preferred Multi-site operational leadership experience highly desired Why This Opportunity Join an established and growing aerospace manufacturing organization Opportunity to make a significant operational and strategic impact Work with advanced manufacturing technologies and highly skilled teams Competitive compensation, bonus structure, and executive benefits package Long-term leadership growth opportunity within a dynamic organization
