Job Description

Director of Project Management - Structural Steel Fabrication We are seeking an experienced Director of Project Management to lead our structural steel project management team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the structural steel industry with a strong understanding of AISC standards, steel fabrication, and project execution. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing projects, improving operational performance, and mentoring Project Managers throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys developing people, creating processes, and helping teams succeed. Responsibilities Lead and oversee structural steel fabrication and erection projects from kickoff through closeout Manage and support Project Managers across multiple projects and locations Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with AISC standards Develop and improve project management procedures and best practices Mentor, train, and coach Project Managers and project teams Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, field operations, and executive leadership Monitor schedules, budgets, project risks, and client relationships Assist with staffing, resource planning, and team development initiatives Support business growth through strong client and industry relationships Qualifications 10+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, erection, and project management Strong knowledge of AISC compliance and steel construction practices Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Experience with project management and steel industry software preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Low Cost health insurance Vision and dental coverage Strong 401(k) match Individual performance-based bonus opportunities Vacation and PTO Send resume to mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for more information
