Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION
Lead the sales organization to achieve and exceed revenue targets by building and coaching a high-performing team, developing scalable processes, and executing strategic go-to-market plans across assigned segments.
REPORTS TO
Assistant Vice President of Sales
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Sales responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve assigned sales targets and expand our member base. Support and foster non-Tennessee business lines to maximize growth opportunities and positive outcomes. Manage metrics, performance criteria, policies, and procedures to continuously improve call center productivity and ensure we are meeting all defined and required key performance indicators. Develop and maintain strategy on ensuring customer satisfaction on all sales transactions. Responsible for the overall performance and productivity of Sales Solutions, Regional Service Representatives, including county offices, and all other distributions channels. Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals and objectives accordingly. Review and provide guidelines and best practices for maintaining competitive edge. Work in coordination with the Marketing team to determine impact of communication and advertising on sales outcomes. Foster relations with technical and operational leaders /vendors to create a culture that is focused on prospect and member needs and satisfaction. Oversee and implement all incentive and contest guidelines and results, including monetary and travel incentives. Oversee the coordination of field events, including but not limited to regional meetings, annual meeting luncheons, and sales meetings. Perform all other duties as assigned. The Director of Sales must also maintain a current knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including industry best practices. During lawful compliance reviews or investigations, the Director of Sales will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory entities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or a related field required and/or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:
  • 3+ years of work industry/leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of management and team development of telephonic sales staff
  • 3+ years of health insurance experience required with an emphasis on Medicare and Medicare Advantage
  • Health Insurance Producer License required.
  • Experience with Sales Force preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
A successful candidate for the Director of Sales position will possess the following skills and/or competencies:

  • Understanding of call center tools and technology used to manage Key Performance Indicators;
  • Possess effective conflict resolution skills;

  • Ability to work in a professional fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, and presentation skills;
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented;
  • Ability to handle the pressures of stressful situations and deadlines;
  • Excellent relationship building skills to communicate value propositions;
  • Ability to effectively manage business plans and timelines;
  • Ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications;
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Knowledge and subject matter expert of Medicare regulations.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
