This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Northview Hotel Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. The Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort is a 200-room luxury oceanfront resort located in the heart of Jekyll Island's scenic Beach Village district. Our upscale property blends serene coastal ambiance with modern comfort, making it a standout choice for beach vacations, family retreats, weddings, and business events. Guests enjoy a relaxed yet refined experience with easy access to both natural attractions and local activities. We have recently renovated all areas of the property to further reflect our coastal setting and enhance guest comfort. Operated by the Northview Hotel Group Jekyll Hotel Operator LLC, our team is committed to providing exceptional service and are empowered to ensure guest satisfaction. Make a Difference as The Director of Sales The Director of Sales will serve as the senior commercial leader responsible for driving top-line revenue growth, expanding market share, and elevating the resort's presence within the luxury leisure, group, and corporate segments. This role drives revenue growth across all segments while ensuring alignment with brand standards, revenue management strategies, and overall business objectives. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Sales provides leadership to the Sales & Catering teams, cultivates key client relationships, inclusive of community partners and collaborates cross-functionally to maximize market share and total resort profitability. What you will do as our Director of Sales- Provide strategic leadership for all sales functions, including group, leisure, corporate, catering, and transient business.
- Develop and execute a forward-looking commercial strategy that positions the resort for accelerated growth.
- Active role in driving on property local and regional Marketing.
- Identify emerging opportunities through sophisticated analysis of market trends, demand drivers, and competitive intelligence.
- Drive high-level business development efforts, cultivating relationships with key national accounts, meeting planners, and strategic partners.
- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, segmentation, and total revenue performance.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales organization with a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Establish performance metrics, forecasting discipline, and clear KPIs to ensure results-driven execution.
- Direct oversight of Banquets & Catering. Operational assistance as required. Displays and execute leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify customer service and the support Northview's Service Standards and the Westin Brand Standards.
- Represent the resort as a market leader through industry engagement, brand advocacy, and community presence.
- Guiding on-property programming to create a one-of-a-kind Guest Experience. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a dynamic commercial executive who brings both strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with the ability to elevate our resort into the highest tier of East Coast destinations. Required Experience & Qualifications
- 7-10 years of progressive hotel sales experience, including senior-level leadership responsibility.
- Strong preference for experience within independent, lifestyle, or luxury resort environments.
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth in competitive destination markets.
- Advanced understanding of modern sales methodologies, digital prospecting, distribution evolution, and data-driven decision-making.
- Prefer experience with a branded environment, preferably Marriott.
