Exempt SUMMARY Provide leadership and oversight for secondary education programs, initiatives, and instructional practices across the division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Support secondary schools in analyzing student achievement data to identify needs and develop strategies to improve academic performance. Coordinate secondary assessment programs and support schools in analyzing and utilizing student data effectively. Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the division-wide professional learning plan to support instructional excellence, staff growth, and student achievement. Support middle and high school principals in the implementation of high-quality instructional practices, student support systems, and school improvement efforts. Maintain knowledge of current educational research, literacy trends, instructional technologies, and state/federal requirements. Assist with the development, implementation, and execution of the division-wide Profile of a Graduate initiative, including the integration of skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and citizenship into gifted programming and instructional practices. Provides staff development to schools based on the school's instructional needs. Support the implementation and expansion of career and technical education (CTE), dual enrollment, Advanced Placement (AP), honors, and elective programs. Coordinate efforts related to secondary scheduling, course offerings, graduation requirements, and academic planning. Assist with leading the division's reunification and emergency management plan. Support summer learning, transition programs, and other division-wide secondary initiatives as assigned by Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. Perform other duties related to teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment, and secondary programs leadership as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Louisa County and Louisa County Public Schools policies and procedures. Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal relations skills. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree, from an accredited college or university and 5 years experience in education or similar field and 3 years of supervisory or administrative experience. Successful experience as a middle or high school principal is strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Post Graduate Professional Virginia Teaching License with endorsements in school administration and shall have completed those courses at the graduate level that are pertinent to the assignment. Valid Virginia Driver's license
