Physical Therapist - School Setting in Mineral, VA

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students in a school-based setting near Mineral, VA. In this pivotal role, you'll provide targeted therapy to help students achieve their educational and developmental goals. Currently, the primary responsibility involves working with a student who has an Individualized Education Program (IEP), with sessions held twice weekly. There is also potential to extend your impact as another student may be added to the program soon.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid and current Physical Therapist license Previous experience in a school setting preferred Familiarity with IEPs and documentation Skills in developing and implementing customized therapy plans Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal Comfortable collaborating within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct PT services two days per week, with possible expansion to additional students Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet IEP goals Evaluate and document student progress thoroughly and promptly Adjust therapy interventions based on ongoing student needs Communicate effectively with faculty, families, and other service providers Maintain compliance with school policies and best practices in pediatric physical therapy
