Job Description:
Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Workforce Development for a mission-driven higher education client. This is a full-time, onsite leadership opportunity located in Bel Air, Maryland
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Workforce Development is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing workforce and continuing education programs that align with regional labor market needs. This individual will lead multi-site teams, manage budgets and grants, and build strong partnerships with employers and community stakeholders. The role plays a critical part in driving strategic growth, program innovation, and community impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of workforce development and continuing education programs Manage budgets, P&L, and grant-funded initiatives to ensure financial and operational success Build and maintain strong employer, industry, and community partnerships Lead and develop multi-site teams, including program staff and instructional personnel Analyze labor market data to align programs with regional workforce needs Drive program innovation, growth, and continuous improvement across the division
QUALIFICATIONS
Senior leadership experience in workforce development, continuing education, or similar environments Strong experience managing budgets, financial performance, and grant reporting Proven ability to build employer partnerships and community relationships Experience leading and developing teams across multiple locations Strategic, data-driven mindset with strong operational leadership skills
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers a competitive salary range of $80k - $100k, along with a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off.
