Pool Technician

Duties Conduct regular pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing surfaces, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain cleanliness and water quality. Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as checking chemical levels, adjusting pH and sanitizer levels to ensure safe water conditions. Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; perform repairs or coordinate repairs as needed using hand tools and power tools. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment status for each pool serviced. Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally or as required by operational schedules. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities to protect yourself and others. Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding service updates or equipment issues. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues in pool systems and equipment. Experience with equipment repair, including troubleshooting pumps, filters, heaters, and related components. Proficiency in performing routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, chemical balancing, and water testing. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and installations. Prior service technician experience is highly desirable to ensure efficient problem-solving skills. Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques, chemical safety procedures, and maintenance best practices. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
