Summary The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for designing, administering, and continuously improving global compensation and benefits programs. This role personally owns the day-to-day execution of U.S. total rewards work; from job pricing and incentive calculations to working the broker for benefits strategy and renewals as well as execution of benefits into the business. Operating within the company's COE model, the Director serves as the primary subject-matter expert for total rewards, partnering with the HR team to ensure programs are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and consistently applied across geographies. In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity to Compensation & Incentive Pay Management Create and maintain job architecture, salary ranges, and supporting documentation. Manage global compensation programs, including salary structures, annual merit cycles, short-term incentive plans, and off-cycle pay actions. Conduct job evaluations, leveling, and market pricing analyses using compensation survey data; make recommendations and document decisions. Review out of scope compensation actions for new hires, promotions, adjustments, and reorganizations. Benefits Administration & Vendor Oversight Own management of global benefits programs. In partnership with the company's U.S. broker, lead annual benefits renewal processes, including data analysis, cost modeling, plan design changes, and recommendations. Personally resolve complex employee or leadership benefits issues and escalations in the U.S. Support regional or country-specific benefits requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations. U.S. 401k Plan Management Serve as the primary internal owner ofU.S. 401
(k) retirement plan, overseeing both strategic direction and day-to-day administration. Manage hands-on plan administration, including coordination with Payroll and vendors to ensure accurate contributions, compliance, testing, audits, Form 5500, and required notices. Act as the internal escalation point and governance partner, supporting fiduciary processes, committee materials, regulatory compliance, and employee education. Global Compliance & Governance Ensure compensation and benefits practices comply with global and local labor, tax, and regulatory requirements. Maintain total rewards policies, guidelines, and governance documentation. Monitor regulatory changes and proactively adjust programs and practices as needed. HR Partnership & Internal Consulting Serve as the primary compensation and benefits resource for HR Business Partners. Translate total rewards programs into clear, practical guidance; answer questions, and support decision-making. Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis related to people programs. Analytics, Systems & Process Ownership Own and optimize HRIS processes related to total rewards, including compensation planning tools, benefits and retirement integrations, data accuracy, system configuration, and reporting. Produce and analyze compensation and benefits data to assess competitiveness, equity, and cost. What You Need to Succeed in This Position Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field. 10+ years of progressively responsible hands-on total rewards experience with global scope. Deep practical expertise in compensation strategy, administration, job pricing, and incentive execution. Deep experience managing US benefits, vendors, and brokers. Knowledge of global benefits programs preferred. Strong understanding and experience ensuring global compensation and benefits compliance. Proven ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver work personally without a team. Master's degree or professional certification (CCP, GRP, CEBS). Strong experience delivering HR in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in a COE model supporting HR Business Partners. Advanced Excel and compensation analytics capability. High degree of detail-oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable balancing strategy with execution Clear, pragmatic communicator High ownership mindset and accountability Ability to influence without direct authority Ability to travel up to 20%.Similar remote jobs
