Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director/Montessori Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and lead our early childhood education program. This role combines hands-on classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities, ensuring a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3-5. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Montessori methods, early childhood education, and classroom management, with a dedication to fostering a love of learning through innovative curriculum development and personalized instruction. As the director, you will oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with families to support each child's growth and well-being. Duties Develop and implement Montessori-based curricula tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children. Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, stimulating environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Manage classroom operations, including behavior management strategies, lesson planning, and assessment of student progress. Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing ongoing training in early childhood development best practices. Collaborate with families to communicate student progress, address individual needs and foster strong community relationships. Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and maintain accurate records related to child welfare and classroom activities. Qualifications Proven experience as a lead teacher or director within a Montessori or early childhood education setting. Stong business sense, including experience with Quickbooks, billing management, and oversight of property and operations. Knowledge of Montessori methods combined with expertise in curriculum development. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and social-emotional learning. Experience in lesson planning and classroom assessment tools. Certifications in early childhood education or Montessori training are required OR willingness to pursue and meet all requirements for Montessori Lead Teacher and Director certification in accordance with New Hampshire state regulations. Commitment to child development and ongoing professional development.

Full-time Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
