Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dirt Foreman to lead and coordinate field operations for earthwork and site development on heavy highway construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising crews, managing daily production, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct crews performing excavation, grading, and sitework operations Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to ensure accurate execution Coordinate daily work activities with Project Managers and Superintendents Monitor production, track quantities, and maintain daily reports Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Schedule and oversee equipment usage, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule Train and mentor crew members to maintain a high level of performance
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy highway or civil construction Proven experience supervising dirt/earthwork crews Strong knowledge of grading, excavation, and site development processes Ability to read and interpret construction plans and survey/layout information Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred)
