Job Description:
The Disaster Recovery Team Member will be responsible for monitoring and assisting with damaged equipment and furniture removal, sorting water damaged items for disposal identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
Assist with identifying the conditions of building furniture, equipment and other items with potential damage from the hurricane Conduct site assessment weekly to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions Collaborate with staff to ensure that work is performed in accordance with position requirements and safety standards Communicate with removal specialist to schedule pick-up dates and onsite services Identify and report any safety incidents while working onsite Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, as required Conduct weekly inventory of office and construction equipment to ensure that they are in place Participate in emergency response planning and exercises to ensure that debris removal operations are integrated into overall disaster response efforts Maintain accurate records of building furniture, equipment and other removal activities, including quantities removed, disposal methods, and safety incidents
