Dishwasher

Job Summary:

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while supporting the kitchen team with basic cleaning and organization tasks. The Dishwasher ensures that the restaurant operates smoothly by keeping dish areas stocked and workspaces orderly.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to health and safety standards. Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized, and free of debris. Assist with trash and recycling removal and ensure proper disposal procedures. Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and work surfaces in dish and prep areas. Restock clean dishes and utensils in appropriate locations for kitchen and dining staff. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines. Assist with basic kitchen prep or cleaning tasks as directed by the Chef or Kitchen Manager. Communicate any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods. Willingness to follow instructions and safety standards. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

This position requires working in a hot, fast-moving kitchen environment with exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment. Opportunities for
