Position Summary:

We're looking for a dependable and organized Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. Behind every great service is a clean, organized kitchen—and our dishwashers are the unsung heroes who keep things moving. This role is crucial in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and ensuring that the team has the tools they need to succeed during service. This role plays a key part in ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently by providing clean dishes and supplies to chefs, servers, and other staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using the dish machine and/or by hand. Polish silverware when needed. Ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment are cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene. Inspect cleaned items for any remaining food or grease, rewash if necessary. Keep the dish station, kitchen, and back-of-house areas clean and organized. Clean and sanitize dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment regularly. Sweep and mop floors in the dishwashing and kitchen areas, as needed, to prevent slipping accidents. Take out trash and recycling regularly and keep the dish area stocked with cleaning supplies. Refill cleaning supplies, such as soap, detergent, and dish sanitizer. Assist with basic kitchen cleaning duties during and after service. Support prep or line cooks as needed during downtime. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. Ensure all cleaning tools and machines are functioning properly. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues (e.g., broken equipment or plumbing problems) to management. Assist back-of-house and front-of-house as requested.

Qualifications :

No experience required — just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Must obtain food handler's certification. Ability to multitask, stay focused, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to lift, bend, and carry heavy loads (e.g., dishware, trash bags). Must be comfortable working in a hot, busy kitchen environment. Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well. Must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
