Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies under the guidance of culinary staff. Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware and kitchen tools are ready and properly maintained. Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas, dining spaces, and back-of-house zones through regular cleaning routines. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to sanitation protocols. Assist with bussing tables during service hours to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests. Collaborate with kitchen team members to support efficient food service operations and uphold high standards of hospitality. Qualifications Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Knowledge of basic food handling practices and sanitation procedures. Experience with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, or assembly is a plus. Familiarity with catering or banquet settings enhances your ability to excel in this role. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and bending comfortably.
