Duties Ensure all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing workstations regularly. Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and ensuring serving areas are clean and stocked. Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly during service hours to ensure a smooth flow of food service operations. Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely setup, breakdown, and cleanup of kitchen and dining areas. Experience Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques such as chopping, assembling salads or sandwiches is advantageous. Experience working in banquet or catering settings is a plus, demonstrating ability to handle large-scale events efficiently. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols related to kitchen sanitation is beneficial. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant or hotel experience can help you excel in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food handling.
