Schedule:
Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm
  • Floating as necessary
Compensation:
$21
  • 25 per hour $4 Shift Differential
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dispatch and Operational Coordination Coordinate paperwork with outside truck drivers for inbound and outbound shipments. Confer with supervisors and managers to align dispatch activities with warehouse operations. Arrange shipping documentation and communicate with carriers to secure equipment and ensure on-time shipments and billing. Examine invoices and shipping manifests for accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. Spot and prioritize orders based on bill time, ensuring earliest deadlines are met first. Track live loads, monitor dock doors, and proactively manage flow to minimize detention time. Maintain accurate and organized records of all load-related documentation. Gate Operations and Access Control Control and monitor all facility access points to ensure authorized entry and exit of all personnel, carriers, and visitors. Verify driver credentials, shipment documentation, and compliance with company policies for all inbound and outbound loads. Perform Trailer Entry Safety Checks (knock, announce, and mirror inspection) to confirm trailers are clear of hazards, unauthorized individuals, and obstructions prior to loading or unloading. Maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and trailer movements. Ensure adherence to site security procedures, including escalation of any irregularities or unauthorized activity. Monitoring and Systems Oversight Operate and monitor security systems and yard management tools to safeguard personnel, property, and company assets. Maintain visibility of yard activity, trailer locations, and dock utilization to support efficient operations. Identify and communicate potential risks, delays, or operational disruptions in real time. Communication and Customer Service Serve as the primary communication link between customer service, warehouse operations, and drivers. Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to shipments, documentation, and dispatch activities. Ensure timely and accurate communication of operational updates, delays, or security concerns to appropriate stakeholders. Answer phones and provide professional, timely support to internal and external partners. Compliance, Safety, and General Responsibilities Perform all duties in accordance with company compliance standards. Exercise sound judgment to maintain company standards and ensure operational integrity. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts. Assist other dispatch team members as needed to support business continuity. Performs all other duties as assigned or needed by Holman.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Experience:
One (1) to two (2) years of dispatch, logistics, or security experience preferred. Warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office. Experience with dispatch systems (iDS preferred) and yard management tools preferred.
