Dispatcher Position Overview:

The purpose of this position is to ensure that the Dubose Fleet operates within all the US DOT Regulations and the Highway Traffic Act and all company policy and procedures. Schedule and process drivers to ensure timely and safe deliveries to our customers by ensuring that the company's CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration) is always in good standing and that the highest level of customer service possible is delivered from the drivers and shipping area. Job Requirements Monitor daily shipping activities and processes conducted by shipping team and drivers, to ensure the highest level of customer service is attained and that all department targets are met. Answer all calls directed to the shipping area Communicate with drivers via Zonar and update sales personnel as needed regarding ETAs regarding customer deliveries and communicate any delivery issues Enter and update customer information in MW for MTRs Check, scan and process all OT BOLs for PODs. File Driver Daily Logs/Hours Check Driver Trip Envelopes and file all trucking paperwork & send to MHC Schedule all Pick-ups on OT and process picker and BOL printers Organize Routes and file by delivery date Process orders tied to incoming material Complete manifest for deliveries and shuttles Buyout Receiving & Back Up on Receiving for Stock Update operations personnel regarding schedules as it pertains to deliveries Process Month End Reports and daily reports (Intransit & MTR Report) Required to monitor SmartDrive review incidents, ensure drivers are being coached as required, dispute incidents with monitoring station when required, discipline drivers as needed. Support and follow corporate directives, goals, and objectives. Follow all Health & Safety, Quality and Company policies and procedures. Contribute to an atmosphere of problem solving and continuous improvement. Establish and implement policies and standards for the safe and organized transportation of steel products to our customers. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, administer scheduling and shipping of goods and dispatching of vehicles. Attend meetings to manage production timelines and transportation expectations. Education and Skills Required Minimum 3-5 years logistics experience in manufacturing/distribution preferred (Steel/Metals) Effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities Strong time management and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge of Metalware and RMI Trucking software would be an asset.
