Dispatching Office Assistant

Dispatching Office Assistant Duties Coordinate assignments of bus drivers, bus routes, vehicles, and substitutes for morning, mid-day and afternoon shifts. Assist with or coordinate extracurricular transportation. Dispatch drivers and vehicles and communicate with them Communicate with parents and school personnel Assist with emergency situations Maintain all required physical and computerized logs, worksheets, files, and reports related to dispatch operations. Perform bus driving duties when needed.

Requirements :

Working knowledge of basic computer programs. Working knowledge of school locations and local roadway systems. Ability to read, write, communicate effectively in person / by telephone Possession of a Commercial Driver's License with a School Bus/ Passenger endorsement or have the ability to obtain such. Ability to collect and organize detailed information and prepare required reports. Ability to pass a background check, CORI & SORI Must have dispatch experience . Multilingual preferred

Working Conditions:

Multilingual preferred Primarily office-based with occasional travel for driving duties. May require working outside of regular business hours as needed.
