Dispensing Optician

Preferred EyeCare Center is located in North Mount Pleasant inside Park West. Our optical clinic needs a Dispensing Optician to join our team. We run an efficient and friendly office that is rapidly growing. We have two Optometrists on staff and there are no weekend hours. The successful candidate should be prepared to work 37-40 hours per week (no overtime) and should be knowledgeable about different types of contact lenses and glasses. We sell sunglasses, frames and contact lenses. Our patients expect fast, friendly service with great attention to detail when fitting corrective lenses. Responsibilities include:

• Review Physician's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients' specific needs and desires
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues Prior experience is not necessary, but the individual must be a fast learner compassionate to patients' needs and lifestyle fashion oriented in frame sales selection confident in sales and math an effective communicator If you think you have excellent customer service and sales skills, then apply with your resume today.
