Job Description

Location :
Portsmouth
NH 03801.
The Dispensing Technician Level 1 supports the manufacturing of therapeutic proteins (API) by dispensing raw materials, including liquids, powders, acids, and bases, under cGMP conditions. This night-shift role requires attention to detail, adherence to cGMP and SOPs, and active participation in safety and quality processes within a controlled Class C environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Dispense raw materials (hazardous and non-hazardous liquids, powders, acids, and bases) per cGMP guidelines. Perform and monitor all dispensing processes, including weighing and executing process recipes. Follow and adhere to written procedures (SOPs), monitor equipment, and perform basic laboratory tasks such as pH, conductivity, and sampling. Maintain aseptic technique and cross-contamination awareness during handling of products and materials. Complete required training and qualify for assigned tasks; maintain individual training plan. Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of dispensing equipment. Conduct peer and first-level reviews of completed eDispense orders/kits after WBT and LQM/PM signoff. Accurately report to production using written and electronic documentation per cGMP and GDP requirements. Prepare materials for transport and delivery to manufacturing suites; perform material movements in physical and software systems. Participate in safety inspections and submit safety observations. Attend shift exchange meetings, manage emails, and participate in assigned projects. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Logistics Team.
Skills:
Knowledge of cGMP compliance and good documentation practices (GDP). Ability to follow SOPs and execute process recipes accurately. Attention to detail and strong observational skills. Ability to work in a controlled Class C environment with proper PPE. Basic laboratory skills including pH and conductivity measurements. Teamwork and effective communication skills. Safety-conscious and proactive in reporting observations.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience. Previous experience in dispensing, manufacturing, or laboratory settings preferred. Familiarity with hazardous material handling and cGMP environments is beneficial.
Shift:
Night Shift, 7 PM - 7 AM, rotating days, every other weekend.
Environment:
Class C, gowned with required PPE.
Reporting:
Supports Logistics and Manufacturing teams.
