Distribution and Maintenance Crew

Overview The Distribution and Maintenance Crew is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the water distribution system of the Dade County Water and Sewer Authority (the Authority) from the potable water delivery into the distribution system to each customer's meter. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License 22 year of age or older Responsibilities Operates a backhoe, hand and power tools. Repairs water line and main breaks. Install, read, change out, and repair water meters. Install and changes out meter boxes and lids. Makes water taps for new water service. Maintains parts and supply inventory; reorders as needed. Locate underground utilities. Responds to emergency water main breaks. Maintains assigned vehicles and equipment. Turns water service on and off. Completes work orders. Performs related duties. Must be available for on-call rotation. general shop maintenance as directed by the Distribution and Maintenance Manager (cleaning shop area, mowing grass, weed eating…..) perform any other duties as directed by the
