Job Description

Swagelok Allentown seeks a full-time distribution associate responsible for ensuring that materials are properly received, handled, accounted for, stored, replenished when necessary, and shipped or delivered as promised. The associate also will perform light maintenance. Essential Duties /
Responsibilities:
% of Time Essential Functions 25% Follows all company distribution and warehouse procedures are followed and ensures compliance with modifications and special requirements identified by the Service Team and Management. 25%
Inventory:
  • Inventory accuracy and Cycle Count activities. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Receive incoming shipments, utilizing receiving software, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment, and identify proper storage locations.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Production and Customer Service:
  • Ensure all customer orders are filled on time as prescribed by order parameters. Communicate issues with customer service reps on a daily basis to maintain customer order integrity.
  • Use pick list and/or packing slips to pull parts and pack accordingly.
  • Verify accuracy of picking process, package shipments and process shipments utilizing shipping software. Other Responsibilities
  • Serve walk-in customers, process orders and customer invoicing as needed.
  • Perform kitting and part change out requests.
  • Request and pack certifications with shipments according to customer's requirements where applicable.
  • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Confer and correspond with carrier representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance.
  • Maintain Swagelok Allentown Training materials, process training requests, and replenish stock.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality system requirements.
  • General cleaning activities.
  • Other duties and assignments as assigned.
Position Requirements Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma and/or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 2 years warehouse/shipping & receiving experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with people and be able to multi-task.
  • Must have personal initiative and drive to seek out what needs to be done, or ask others what they need assistance with
Computer Skills:
Familiar with Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and ability to learn company inventory software

            Physical Demands and Working Environment:
            • This job operates in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure when unloading trucks.
            • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, as well as shop equipment such as power tools.
            Pay:
            $21.00 per hour
